Meet OUR TEAM
Rooted in the values of peer support, our team consists of leaders with lived and living experience of mental health, substance use, and addiction. Across Northeastern Ontario, we work to uphold best practices in peer support while amplifying voices and advocating for individuals within the peer community.
Our board of directors
LERN is governed by a Board of 9 Directors who reflect the diversity of our region and membership. Executive roles include Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. Board members provide strategic oversight and governance, but are not involved in day-to-day operations.
OUR STAFF
LERN is supported by two part-time staff who work remotely within Northeastern Ontario. They bring lived experience and a strong understanding of mental health, substance use and addiction to all aspects of their work.
Guided by equity, inclusion, trauma-informed care, compassion, and empathy, our staff are the heart of LERN’s operations. They are committed to supporting members, strengthening peers and our community. This ensures that the voices of lived experience are always heard and valued.
