Terms & Application:

• Filling a Two-year term, with the possibility of up to three consecutive terms
• Applications reviewed by a nominating committee
• Candidates must be 18+ and reside in the northeast region of Ontario
• Have lived experience of mental health, substance use, or addiction
• The Board slate is presented to members for approval at the Annual General Meeting

Board Responsibilities:

• Guide strategic planning and set annual goals
• Oversee budgets and fiscal accountability
• Serve on committees and support organizational priorities

Time Commitment and requirements:

• Attend Monthly Board meetings by Zoom, 1 evening a month
• Attend 1–2 in-person meetings annually
• Participate on various board committees throughout the year
• Ensure privacy for participating in virtual meetings
• Adhere to and abide by a confidentiality agreement
